His love is better

"Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands." Psalm 63:3-4


No matter what life throws our way, we can always have joy when we glorify him and praise him. His love is all we need. Our peace comes from Him. Our hope comes from him. It is the hope that we need to keep looking forward to a better tomorrow. Life will have storms, but thank God that he will not let us drown. He will rescue us and put our feet on solid ground. I will continue to lift my hands because I know that there is no better love than His. Humans will hurt us and we will hurt others, but it is good to know that there is someone that will never hurt us. Our Jesus will never leave us. He will give us the strength we need to continue in our journey. Our journey is for Him, not for us. Today I heard Greg Laurie on the radio talk about how we never pay attention to others because we are too busy worrying about ourselves. What a sense of conviction I felt. That yes, we are selfish human beings and all we care about is how we feel. It's a conscious effort to notice others and to see how others are doing. It may not come natural because we are born sinners, but I think once we get closer to Jesus it won't be so hard to notice others and to want to help others. Jesus was selfless and that is how I want to be. I know we can never be like Jesus, but we can come close. For as long as I live I will continue to praise Him and keep praying that he helps me be more like Him.


Father, forgive me when I don't notice others. When I am too busy just focusing on my issues that I forget there are others hurting or others in need of learning about You. Let me be able to notice the broken, the hurting, the ones that need some light. Let me be able to be the light in the darkness. Not for me, but for your kingdom. I am here to serve you and bring others to You. I thank you that your love is unconditional, that you are my greatest love and that it is better than any earthly love I long for. I pray this in your might name, Jesus. Amen.
